Guadalupe Schools Community Learning Center’s goal is to provide each student, adult or child and their families with support so that they can live, learn, and thrive in a stable and supportive environment.
We offer non-English speaking adults language skills necessary to provide for their families and fully participate in their communities through our Voluntary Improvement Program (VIP). VIP encompasses three parts: Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday and Family Literacy. VIP offers small group instruction through which adults learn the basic English skills needed for seeking and retaining employment, providing for their basic needs and understanding American society.
We offer children from birth to nine years of age programs that encourage academic excellence, while providing for their physical well being and nurturing their social and emotional needs through our Early Learning Center (ELC). The Early Learning Center encompasses four programs: Home-Based Preschool, Early Childhood Education & Care, School-Based Preschool, and K-3 Charter School. Our preschool programs foster children’s love of learning, confidence, and independent thinking through positive child, parent, and teacher relationships, which lead children to reach their full potential in all developmental domains. Our charter school program offers small classes, interactive learning and individual attention to support students’ current growth and prepare them for academic success. The charter school program also offers summer school to help our students maintain their academic progress during the summer break. During summer school students receive added practice and a mastering of skills through hands- on experiments, reading, art and field trips based on the core curriculum and focusing on the community around them.
We offer our families support by providing them with medical, dental, crisis and mental health community connections which provide free or reduced services and workshops on finances, law and other requested subjects. We provide after school curriculum enrichment activities including language, math and art. Our Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) encourages our parent’s involvement in their child’s education.
